ConnectUp Retreat is a weekend event designed for ConnectUp ministers to gather annually in person for equipping, refreshment, and community.

WHAT: The retreat will include times for:

  • Worship 🎶 (Corporate Worship, Guided Devotions, Solitude)

  • Training 🎒 (CU Training, CU Mentoring, Spiritual Formation)

  • Community 😁 (Activities, Shared meals, Time to connect!)

WHEN: May 23-25, 2025 (Registration: Friday 3pm-5pm / Departure: Sunday 1pm)

WHO: This event is for ConnectUp Prayer Ministers (Central Team and Branch Teams). Our prayer is that it will be a blessing to our ministers to get away and receive together!

LOCATION: The Ladore Lodge (Salvation Army Retreat Center, Pocono Mountains, PA)

The Ladore Lodge and Conference Center is part of a large campground. Our group has reserved the Ladore Lodge facility which hosts individual rooms, sitting areas, lounges, a chapel, dining room, pool, patio, and nearby trails. All of our scheduled activities will take place in this facility. The surrounding campgrounds are beautiful with fun opportunities for outdoor hiking, games, nature reflections, and boating.

TRANSPORTATION: For those who are driving, you can use the address listed above. There is ample parking for all types of vehicles. For those flying, the closest airport is Wilkes-Barre, PA (AVP), which is a 30-minute drive. The closest large airport is the Newark International Airport (EWR), 2 hours from the retreat center. ConnectUp will provide one shuttle from each airport. Uber is available at other times. Please indicate on your registration if you need one of these shuttles.

  • Wilkes-Barre Airport (AVP) shuttle will be available @ 3pm ET.

  • Newark International Airport (EWR) shuttle will be available @ 1pm ET.

ACCOMODATIONS: Each attendee will choose their preferred accommodations from the list provided below. Lodge rooms are simple hotel-style rooms with beds, linens, towels, and private bathrooms. Single rooms are for those who prefer to have their own room. Doubles will be shared between two individuals, and triples are for those who are open to tighter spaces with a third person in the room on a cot.

COST: The cost is an all-inclusive rate for the weekend depending on your choice of accommodations as listed below. The cost includes 2 night stay, 6 meals, and the Retreat Program. The price is all-inclusive and cannot be altered for things like fewer meals, etc.

LODGE ROOMS

The Lodge is a basic hotel-like setting with a private room and bathroom. Program activities will take place onsite at this facility.

  • Lodge Single Room (1 person) = $390/person

  • Lodge Shared Room, Double (2 people) = $280/person

  • Lodge Shared Room, Triple (3 people, 2 Beds + Cot) = $250/person

  • 2 Registrations (Married Couple): Lodge Room - Double = $480

  • 1 Registration: ConnectUp Girls (Shared Cabin) = $230

MEALS: Meals will be provided onsite. Some dietary restrictions can likely be accommodated (gluten free & dairy free), please indicate them on your registration form.

CHILDREN: Childcare is not provided for this retreat. Parents are welcome to bring their children with the understanding that they are responsible for their care during the event. Parents may choose to bring a caregiver, who would need to register. Children are welcome during times of worship and intercession. Children will be asked to not attend certain sessions, such as live demos, due to sensitive information being shared. There is no charge for children under 3, age 4-12 are ½ the price of double occupancy ($110 per child for Lodge / Financial Hardship inquiries considered.)

SPONSOR INVITATION: If you are able to sponsor someone else’s attendance, please note that on your form and we will gratefully allocate it for you based on financial hardship requests and/or return it if there is not a need. We have always had more scholarship requests than we can fund, and encourage you to give if you can to enable others to come!
